Pacific Group Agencies, Inc. provides REAOC members with a variety of supplemental benefits including dental plans and vision coverage. Additional discount and savings programs are available through HearPO and Pacific Group Agencies’ Best Benefits Saver Plan. Other supplemental benefits available for REAOC members through Pacific Group Agencies include pet insurance, travel protection, and identity theft shield, etc.

A newly retired person has 60 days from their retirement or from them joining REAOC or from them experiencing a Qualifying Event (such as losing other dental coverage or moving out of their HMO service area) to enroll in one of the Pacific Group Agencies dental plans. Each year, there is an Annual Open Enrollment Period when a REAOC member may apply for dental benefits.  Packets are mailed out in the late fall with a coverage effective date of January 1st of the following year.

The PPO plan is the Ameritas Dental PPO plan.

This plan includes:

• Higher calendar year benefits
• Ability to “bank” unused benefits for future years
• Basic Services benefits increase annually
• Largest nationwide dental network for best savings
• Printed ID Cards are issued for the members

All PPO plans allow you to see any dentist, regardless of whether they are in the network, but there are significant benefits to seeing an in-network dentist.  To search for network providers in your area, click on the link below.

For 2020, the rates for the Ameritas PPO dental plan are:

$ 55.00 monthly for retiree only
$110.00 monthly for retiree and spouse/domestic partner or child
$160.00 monthly for retiree and family

The HMO plan that is available is the Cigna Dental HMO plan.

Highlights of this HMO plan include:

• The Cigna plan will have coverage for dental implants
• There will be lower out-of-pocket member co-pays for many procedures including crowns
• There will be a larger nationwide dental network

$32.00 monthly for retiree only
$64.00 monthly for retiree and spouse/domestic partner or child

VISION PLAN 
MES (Medical Eye Service) Vision PPO Plan is a PPO plan that enables you to select a doctor from a provider list and pay nominal co-payments for vision services and materials. A list of In-Network Vision Providers is available on the Medical Eye Services Web Site (MES) only. Please indicate the Plan #490 when confirming eligibility for vision coverage’s in network providers.

For 2020, the rates for the MES Vision plan are:

$9.50 monthly for retiree only
$19.00 monthly for retiree and spouse/domestic partner or child
$28.00 monthly for retiree and family
