Pacific Group Agencies, Inc. provides REAOC members with a variety of supplemental benefits including dental plans and vision coverage. Additional discount and savings programs are available through HearPO and Pacific Group Agencies’ Best Benefits Saver Plan. Other supplemental benefits available for REAOC members through Pacific Group Agencies include pet insurance, travel protection, and identity theft shield, etc.
A newly retired person has 60 days from their retirement or from them joining REAOC or from them experiencing a Qualifying Event (such as losing other dental coverage or moving out of their HMO service area) to enroll in one of the Pacific Group Agencies dental plans. Each year, there is an Annual Open Enrollment Period when a REAOC member may apply for dental benefits. Packets are mailed out in the late fall with a coverage effective date of January 1st of the following year.

Highlights of the Ameritas Dental PPO Plan includes:

For 2022-23, the rates for the Ameritas PPO dental plan are:
$ 55.00 monthly for retiree only
$110.00 monthly for retiree and spouse/domestic partner or child
$160.00 monthly for retiree and family
The HMO plan that is available is the Cigna Dental HMO plan.
Highlights of the Cigna Dental HMO Plan include:
- Coverage for dental implants
- Lower out-of-pocket member co-pays for many procedures including crowns
- A larger nationwide dental network
Dental network – The Cigna network of highly qualified dentists has been pre-screened and thoroughly evaluated prior to their acceptance as a Cigna dentist. There are many dentists in California as well as throughout the United States.

For 2023, the rates for the Cigna HMO dental plan are:
$34.00 monthly for retiree only
$68.00 monthly for retiree and spouse/domestic partner or child
$125.00 monthly for retiree and family

VSP Vision PPO Plan is a PPO plan that enables you to select a doctor from a provider list and pay nominal co-payments for vision services and materials. This PPO plan allows you to use any eye care provider but choosing a VSP Choice Network provider gives you the highest benefits and lowest out-of-pocket costs. Find local providers at: www.VSP.com

$9.50 monthly for retiree only
$19.00 monthly for retiree and spouse/domestic partner or child
$28.00 monthly for retiree and family
